This is the White Pass and Yukon Railway at the Summit of the White Pass where the Northwest Mounted Police used to man the customs station in 1898. They would check to see if all the cheechakos coming through from Skaguay had sufficient supplies to make the trip to the Dawson Goldfields safely. The original painting is owned by the WPYR.
